BATTLE FOR THE REAL

We are building the first combined real/virtual MMO vehicle-combat shooter. All battles take place in-game, whether with virtual robots or with real robots in real arenas. Through competing in the simulator, players will learn to control the robots effectively, and after reaching an attainable minimum ranking, unlock the ability to pilot a real robot in a real arena in high stakes matches. If you purchase your own personal robot, you will control it with your laptop using your game client and have the ability to host local games and log stats!

Great question. We love that game so much we wished it was real! But there were some other things we all agreed could be better too. In terms of gameplay, Hunter Legion will be a modern free-to-play competitive MMO focused on individual player performance. You will know where you stand with ranked and unranked battles, more competitive 3v3 team sizes, advanced stat tracking features, ranking based matchmaking and, of course, there's no hacking real life.

Airsoft provides a clean, non-destructive, shooting-combat system. Physical BB hits are registered by our on-vehicle impact sensors, allowing for closed-loop gameplay and real vehicle combat. An existing infrastructure of dedicated airsoft fields provides countless locations for battles, whether against human players or other robots. 

We're working hard to develop our Mk.II robot design that take things to the next level. In the meantime, we plan to release a pre-alpha simulator in the upcoming months. If you are selected as a pre-alpha participant, you will get a head start in learning how to pilot and receive bonus credits on launch!

The test robots/tanks that you see in our videos are our Mk.1. We built Mk.1 to validate our multiplayer test servers and our ability to load video into our game engine. They are the shell of a 3918 airsoft tank, with the internals gutted and replaced with a custom airsoft gun (AEP gearbox), FPV cameras, and custom engineered electronics. And while you may want to get your hands on one, we're not releasing them because we can do better. 

We're currently designing a new robot, the Mk. II, from the ground up, purpose built for speed, handling, and firepower. It will have an all-new chassis, full version-3 gearbox, and additional onboard sensors for real-world spotting and mini map! We are racing to bring MKII to life in Q4 of 2024! Stay tuned!

You know we can't talk about that. But rest assured our world-class robotics engineering will be bringing you the cutting-edge of robotic combat capability, providing a military-like robot piloting experience without the minimum 2-year enlistment or 3-year re-enlistment.

You'll also be helping us train advanced AI pilots, using your real and virtual games as training data. In the future, we will be using this to improve your combat effectiveness with standard AI pilot assistance features, such as object recognition, lag compensation, and other situational awareness enhancements, before finally graduating to full-AI opponents. When will that happen? Only time will tell. But it's coming.
